HIGO Closer · Motor Cutoff Equipped
Stop Heavy. Cut Power. Stay Safe.
The Magura CLARA PRO with integrated HIGO brake cutoff is a 4-piston hydraulic disc brake engineered for serious electric bikes. Built with an integrated motor cutoff switch and HIGO Closer (NO) connector, it delivers world-class stopping power while automatically killing motor power the instant you grab the lever — built for vehicles up to 550 lbs gross weight.

Why CLARA PRO with HIGO Belongs on a Serious E-Bike
Heavy e-bikes need brakes that match their mass and momentum — but high-power e-bikes need something more: an integrated motor cutoff that ensures power is killed the moment you brake. The CLARA PRO with HIGO uses oversized 4-piston calipers with extra-large MDP 13 brake pads to dissipate heat across long descents and sustained stops, while the integrated brake switch sends an instant cutoff signal to your motor controller via the HIGO Closer (NO) connector. The result: cleaner braking, no power-vs-brake fight, and a meaningful safety upgrade on any high-output build.
Integrated Motor Cutoff — How It Works
The CLARA PRO HIGO version has a mechanical micro-switch built directly into the brake lever housing. The instant you pull the lever, the switch closes the circuit through the HIGO 2-pin connector and signals your motor controller to cut power. No more fighting throttle against brake pressure, no more wasted pad life, and an instant safety net on steep descents or panic stops. Plug-and-play with most e-bike builds and any controller using the standard HIGO Closer (NO) protocol.

Best For
HPC heavy-duty builds and high-power applications including the Trailblazer AT Pro, Scout, Titan, and Revolution platforms — anywhere stopping power needs to keep up with serious motor output and real-world cargo or two-up riding. The integrated motor cutoff is especially valuable on high-torque Bafang M620 builds where instant power-off is a meaningful safety upgrade.
This brake is also an excellent upgrade for e-moto bikes such as the Talaria MX3, MX4, and MX5, the Sur-Ron Light Bee, and similar high-speed electric off-road platforms where stock braking systems often fall short of the bike's real-world performance — and where motor cutoff integration adds a layer of trail safety the OEM brakes don't offer.
